Managing DNS Records
Managing the DNS zone of your domain in the Plesk Panel is an essential task. Here you can add or delete DNS records. Caution is key, as incorrect records can disrupt DNS functioning, potentially making your website invisible online.
To modify, add, or remove DNS records in Plesk, first navigate to the 'Hosting & DNS' tab, and then click on the DNS icon. This will display a page with all the DNS records of your domain. For example, to create a new record, simply click 'Add Record', select the record type, and enter the necessary details. Remember to confirm your changes by clicking 'OK', and then 'Apply' to save them.
DNS record propagation on the euHost server is usually swift, taking just a few seconds. However, to check the new record, one can use external tools like whatsmydns.net. Open a new browser tab, go to the site, enter your domain name, select the desired DNS record type, and click 'Search'. If everything is configured correctly, the newly added DNS record will be displayed in the search results.
Remember, DNS propagation can sometimes take longer, so a bit of patience is necessary.
Now, if there's a need to remove a record, simply go back to the Plesk panel, select the DNS record to be deleted, click 'Remove', and then confirm this action. To finalize all changes, click 'Apply' in the DNS zone. This ensures that any modifications made are effectively implemented.
This process exemplifies how straightforward it is to manage DNS settings within the Plesk Panel, ensuring that the website remains functional and accessible.
